Oh boy!

Allow me to present to you: Mr. Babypants!

Look how cute! Can you make out any body parts? well, to the right, is his head. It's a side view. You can see his ear, and his nose, and then you can see one arm, his left arm, and his right hand sticking up, because he apparently likes to punch me constantly but I can't feel it. Ha!

There he is! I hope you guys can see this, scanning the pic made it too dark, so I took a picture of it with my digital camera. Here is another picture for you to enjoy, so you can see how fat I am getting:

I know, I know. I look like a freakin' cow. Don't forget though-I had an ample gut to start with. So it's not all Mr. Babypants.

While I'm showing some pics though, let's go all out--here's some more of Mr. Preciousbabypants:

Here, if you can see above the flash from the camera, is his spine. Cool. The arms, legs, skull, ribs, and spine were really easy to pick out. She showed us all sorts of organs and other body parts that looked like blurry blobs.

Have you noticed yet that I keep saying 'he'? !!!

I know! I can't believe it's a boy either!!!!! We all thought girl! So much for mother's and father's intuition!

I know we weren't going to find out, but, we went in, and we were like, if you can see it, tell us. if you can't, well, then we'll be surprised when he's born.

But he had a scrotum and a penis (well, she said he did...it looked like gray and black blobs to me) so she said she's 99% sure he's a boy.

Here's a picture of Kevin on his 30th birthday being all happy. This is kinda how he looked in the ultra sound room when she said it was a boy:

OK, never mind. I keep trying to upload it, but well, it's not working my way, so....that one doesn't get on here. But trust me, he was really happy.

That's all the news for right now. We're having a boy!

Talk to you later!

Thank you girls:) It was really exciting! I'm going to have a son!

A human son!

(as opposed to a rabbit son...)

i had this boy inkling, but i let it go for a few reasons- midwife said 85% girl, you guys felt girl, and i could totally see you pinking your ass off with all the cute girly stuff. it's funny- i read your description of the pic, and thought, duh, obviously.... before realizing that other people do things besides look at ultrasounds all day. congrats! I can't wait to meet mr. babypants. you look like a million freekin bucks! and beautiful spine, by the way!

Thank you Melissa:)

You know what? You are the third person to comment on his beautiful spine.

I guess that must be a good thing....

At this point, can the baby spines not look good?

I'm glad you were able to see the ultrasound pics well:) That rocks:)

I also thought it might be a boy, but I'm not sure why. Perhaps b/c of my own experience? I don't know.

Congrats! :) Pics are cool. I keep meaning to scan mine in (but I am a lazy butt).

You look so great and happy :). Makes me think about taking a belly shot.

belly shots rock. spine being beautiful is important. the icky part of things is that in most states you can still terminate your pregnancy (seems late, but sometimes reasonable). sometimes at the initial anatomy scan (the one you just had), they see open neural tube defects- spina bifida, one of the more common defects- where the spinal cord is exposed. 80% of parents who find out that diagnosis don't continue their pregnancy. there are all kinds of other things that can go wrong with the spine, which i'm not going to tell you about, since Mr. Pants's spine looks great. i actually got nervous about your ultrasound, since i see so many bad ones- puts my mind at ease to see totally ordinary baby stuff.
